PlayStar’s play sets are made from a select grade of premium lumber and harvested from sustainable forests to ensure your swing set is not only high quality and very durable but also eco-friendly. Our suppliers are committed to utilize methods that are economically, environmentally and socially responsible to not only meet current needs but also to not compromise any requirements of future generations.
All lumber is graded to PlayStar’s exacting standard with the most technologically advanced equipment to make certain your playset is constructed with boards that have a strong tight grain, no wane, the lowest possible knots and minimum imperfections. Every piece is protected with environmentally friendly products to provide decay, rot and insect resistance.
Playstar’s play set lumber is thoroughly kiln dried to remove excessive moisture that reduces the possibility of mold while at the same time dramatically minimizes warping. We ease all edges and sand all four sides to give your family a product that is splinter free and safe to use.
PlayStar’s Select grade of play set lumber is Over 70% stronger than imported Chinese Cedar (Fir) as documented across a variety of metrics by independent testing laboratories.
